A psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah
©Jeanne E Webster
O God, You are my God! I will meditate on You throughout the day. My soul craves for You, my flesh aches for You in this dispirited and voracious world.
I have seen Your power and glory in the sanctuary and I praise Your eternal loving-kindness.
I will bless You and lift up my hands to you while I yet live.
My soul is satisfied with the richness of Your glory, and I shall joyfully praise You.
I think of You at the end of day and ponder Your majesty during the night hours.
I rejoice that You have rescued me and kept me in the shadow of Your wings.
My soul will pursue Your presence; Your might and power protect me.
Those that intend me harm shall be destroyed and eternally pay for their wrongs.
They will perish by the same devices they hurt others and will become as prey for wild animals.
The rulers of the world will rejoice in You but those that speak evil of You shall die.
