Speak

The Lord is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works.  The Lord is nigh unto them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.  He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him.  He also will hear their cry and will save them.  The Lord preserveth all them that love Him; but all the wicked will He destroy.  My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord; and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.  Psalm 145:17-21 (KJV)

These verses begin and end with praises to Almighty God, and sandwiched in-between is prayer and protection.  What a beautiful portrait of our relationship to our heavenly Father!  Daily we need to speak, sing, think and pray our praises to Him.  By responding to Him through our worship and obedience, we demonstrate our adoration and love for Him. He is always faithful to protect us and hear our prayers.

Father, we do adore You, we stand in awe of You and we love You.  Thank you for Your righteousness, Your holiness, Your watch and care over us.  We acknowledge that You are in control of all things, from the next beat of our hearts to the drawing in of our next breaths.  May our mouths, hearts and souls speak of Your holy name, for ever and ever!  Amen

    • Wonderful comment, Bro. Pat. Thank you. It seems that whenever I post scripture, I receive a few really base comments, hateful in fact. So ones like yours are so welcome. Shalom 🙂

A most timely reminder…and right in line with what God was trying to ‘get through’ to my heart today. Prayer. Protection. Praise. Thank you, Jeanne! God bless your day!

  7. Not too long ago I read a similar Psalm about Praise. I love it when another brother or sister in Christ is of the same mind as I am. Beautiful post.

“Father, we adore you.” Yes, just as a sweetheart looks through eyes of adoration, we should express our affection for the One who loves us unconditionally!
