Don’t Lose Count—Lose Weight!

Seriously, anyone out there need to lose a few pounds…or many pounds?  If so, join me on a site that will help us do just that!  This site has everything we need to count calories and organize our efforts to lose excess weight.  It has support, exercise and food categories, weigh-ins, and message boards.  My daughter-in-law told me about this fitness place and I’m sold after my first visit. 

And it is FREE!

I want to lose 20 pounds and always blamed slow metabolism for not being able to lose it.   Well, guess what?  I don’t think it is the metabolism.  I waaay underestimated the calories in what I have been eating.  The sodium content was another off the sensible scale items.  Folks, try this dot com.  If any of you want my support, let me know.  Maybe I can use you for support too? 

This site has or finds most anything you put in your mouth, tallies up the calories, sodium and fat content, sugar and fiber amounts, cholesterol, carbs and protein scores.  I have been on a low sodium diet for a few years and thought I’d been following the diet very good.  Nope!  Wrong, dead wrong.  And the calories I thought I was starving myself with–uh uh.  No.  Who was I fooling? 

No more fooling around.  I’ve got a good tool now and I have already started on my weight loss plan.  This is no advertisement or scheme.  Just a darn good web site to help someone lose weight.  Try it, you might like it.

  2. Thanks for sharing this site. I also thought I was doing what was right, and couldn’t understand why the scales were going in the wrong direction; but then I really started looking at what I was eating and found I was also way off base. So, I joined up too. I’ve been looking for someone or something to help me to lose the weight I have gained, but can’t afford the fees. I also need a partner to keep me accountable. Now, if you will excuse me, I must go walk. 🙂

    • I agree, Dru! I did think I was eating healthy and wisely. But after looking at the REAL calories in my homemade lowfat and low sodium food, I saw why the pounds were not coming off. A great site and free.

    I know I am fortunate. I have not had major weight problems but with my small frame and short stature (of 5 ft) every extra lb. goes to my hips and thighs. After Christmas I was at a weight I’ve only registered during pregnancies. I’m having problems fitting into my clothes and knew it was time to put the brakes on. I’ve taken off the 5 lbs I putted on over the holidays and already see change. I’ve resumed an exercise routine (inside). I need to loose 10-15 more pounds and the site you mention may be a big help. I’m passing on the info. Hope we all have praise reports each month!

    • I am enjoying very much, Pam. It has everything I need to make me aware of where I’m going with this weight loss gig. It better be down! It’s easy to use and if you can click on a button, you can use it.

    I am on the same quest to lose 20 lbs
    I will check out the site – I joined Weight Watchers Online and have been recording my “eats” so far have lost 6.5 lbs
    I joined WW for 3 months and I think the key is fruits, vegetables – FIRST then low fat everything else – plus as much as I love cheese – its too much for my body to process – I save the cheese for occasionally going out
    After my 3 months – my fitness pal may be the tool to keep me going towards a healthy life-style

    • Hi Susie,

      I love the format here at myfitness. Also it accounts for any exercise you do, snacks, any and all food imaginable, support base, whatever. I don’t know about WW, but this one is totally free! I forgot to put that in the post.

      You have done well with your weight loss. Hope I can lose my excess also. Blessings to you! 🙂
