Today’s Outing

Doctor Speaking with Patient

Newly surfaced parking lot

Soft comfy sitting room

Gracious discreet office staff–

Am stroking an aura of doom.

Cheered into the inner sanctum

Doctor presents with a smile

Examines the mega complaint–

Encourages me after a while.

Returned to the car, lauding

Weight lifted off shoulders

Holding new supply of remedies–

“Goodbye, darn ole boulders!”

“May You be praised, my Father

May all the glory be Yours

Decree over all Your Creation —

Peace and joy absorbed to the core.”

  1. This particular post has been on my mind for some time. Been wondering how you are Jeanne. In the (wonderful) poem you wrote, “Good bye! darn old boulders.” Any news since then?

    • Sure could use some prayers, Colleen. Thanks for your support. Fighting a muscle disease with medicine that has lots of side effects. I guess I’m supposed to learn patience? 🙂

      Blessings, dear friend.
