You Too?

wishes

Ephesians 3:14-20  “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might  be filled with all the fullness of God.  Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,  according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.  Amen.”

Are you tired of those bumps in the road?

Do they increase each year your heavy load?

Yeah, me too.

.

Does it take more courage to face each new day?

Are you too bump-weary and weak-kneed to pray?

Yeah, me too.

 .

The creakies and bone jolts increase with each year.

Worry has etched my face; mice have colored my hair.

You too?

 .

So much for smooth sailing;

Even wishful thinking is failing.

You too?

.

Well . . . whoever said wishes come true?

Wishes are only wishful thoughts; ooh, ooh.

.

God doesn’t grant wishes—

He answers prayers in love—

He walks with us through the valley,

To ground us from above.

 .

Why?

.

So we may comprehend the

Breadth

Length

Depth

And Height

Of the love Christ has for us.

.

Just think . . . if wishful thinking could come true

WE WOULD MISS ALL THIS!

.

WOULD YOU WANT TO MISS ALL THIS?

.

No, me either!

.

Glory be to God, Who is able to do OVER AND ABOVE WHAT WE ASK OF HIM!

.

NaPoWriMo  Day 20

Amen.

    • Oh, Deb, you break my heart! Yet, I see that Christ has related with you so closely, one can sense the awesome love He has for you.

      Prayers and hugs . . .
      Shalom

So many times I find myself wishing situations would change. This post has renewed my thinking about prayer. Oftentimes I cannot believe how much God loves me because I forget to look at Him with the eyes of my heart. This was very thought provoking.
