My Hope

Psalm 71:14-18 “But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.  My mouth shall show forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day, for I know not the numbers thereof.  I will go in the strength of the Lord God.  I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.  O God, thou hast taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.  Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not, until I have showed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come.”  (KJV)

These verses really touch my heart, as so many times I find myself relying on my strength, not God’s.  God prompts me time and again that my strength is from Him.  As long as we draw breath, we are to remain faithful to Him and glorify Him in our lives.  We must remember that others are watching us, and as we live, we build the bridges that they will someday cross over.  Are these bridges built upon sand or upon the Rock?  An old saying goes:  “Success is not counted by how high you have climbed, but by how many you have brought with you.”  It is true also in our spiritual walk with our God.  May others see him in our actions, words and hearts so they too will grasp the great Hope that is ours…eternal life in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. (jew)

O God, quicken to life every power within us, that we may lay hold on eternal things.  Open our eyes that we may see, give us acute spiritual perception, enable us to taste Thee and know that Thou are good.  Make heaven more real to us than any earthly thing has ever been.  Amen

“Success is not counted by how high you have climbed, but by how many you have brought with you.” Love this quote! We all need to be willing to share our faith with others and help others grow in theirs. Be blessed and bless someone else today!
