“You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.” ~John Wooden

`
Think of it…how many perfect days have you had in your life? Be careful now, slowly return to days of yore and peek into your past. Carefully work your way towards today and then give it a total. Did you get anywhere near the amount you thought you would? Me neither. But what a motto!

`
Starting today, rearrange your daily routine and work in one blessing for someone who can’t repay you. Try it as often as possible. Every day might be a far reach; begin with the thought. As thought gives vision to action, let the good deeds roll. It doesn’t have to be a big hairy deal. Folks in need are struggling with life, and most anything would help them, even a smile.

`
Remembering the thought will be my first challenge. When that finally takes root in my brain, I’ll really be into the fun part, “What will I do today?” The research will take time, and the planning. But that’s part of the dynamic here. I want to work on this for a month and see how many perfect day deeds I come up with. Then start on another month, and then maybe jump to a year.

`
After that the ritual should become so ingrained in my heart that it will be as natural as breathing in and breathing out. And you know what? My focus won’t be counting perfect days anymore. I’ll have the satisfaction of a joyful spirit, inner peace, and a greater awareness of the needs of others.
Enjoy your perfect day . . . and many more!

Dad, Mentor and Friend

Dad, Mentor and Best Friend
+
To God be the glory for my father’s love;
I celebrate Father’s Day with this in mind.
I offer all honor and praise to You above
For the rich treasures in my dad that I find.
.
First and foremost I see his deep Love for You
That You placed within his spirit a long time ago.
His faithful Obedience follows this love so true
Reflecting the fruit of Your Word here below.
.
His Reverence for life is so dear to his heart
For You have so blessed him with Your reality.
His endless Devotion to You plays a major part
In his constant practices of impartiality.
.
It’s impossible to put into words what I truly feel
Towards my dad, my mentor, that You did send.
So I leave this with You, Lord, as at Your feet I kneel,
Thanking You for this precious dad. . . my best friend!

I was born long ago in the mountains out east

My spirit remains there today.

From Irish, Scot, and English blue blood,

Throw in a dab of Native American and German-Jew.

Ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War from

The States of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

.

Noah wrote a well-known dictionary, I declare

Daniel was quite the orator and statesman;.

Old John was the first governor of Connecticut;

That’s the wrap-up of the forefathers..

Recent history brought in some Swiss ties;

My children are thoroughly peopled with strong genes.

.

An Irish blessing to you, and a good cuppa of English tea,

A Scottish shortbread and good German bratwurst,

Delicious Swiss chocolate and strong Algonquin courage . . .

.

But the important part. . .  I am blessed with God’s everlasting salvation and grace.

I AM A CHILD OF THE KING!

Shalom

Starting with today, rearrange your M.O. and work in one blessing for someone who can’t repay you. Try it as often as possible. Every day might be a far reach; begin with the thought. I’m going to give it a try. Remembering the thought will be my first challenge. I’ll have the satisfaction of a joyful spirit, inner peace, and a greater awareness of the needs of others.

Thank you, Lord.

Merry Christmas Faithful Ones, Friends & Loved Ones:

.
At the beginning of this rich and meaningful holiday season, I ask myself, “How will you celebrate what Christmas really means this year? “ Mentally I go through my catalog of reasons why this Christmas would be “different.” I have come up with quite a reasonable amount of reasons why this year things WILL be somewhat different or, might require a bit of “tweeking.” Until, I somberly go over that list and realize, again, that consecration of Self has no season or clime. A manger and fresh hay was sufficient for the Holy Child to begin his earthly sojourn in, and the consecration of all his life. That some swaddling clothes [strips of cloth] and enough warmth was sufficient for the King of kings to feel watched over, and that a few humble souls to welcome him with pure awareness was sufficient purpose to have heavenly angels spring forth in glorious hallelujahs and have his Identity known.

.
I don’t believe any one of us had less, and, now have a thousand times more. I admit, it’s nice to have more of certain things but, it isn’t always better, for, much of those things can become distractions or idols. The world is suffering from too little of what WE could and should have so much more of, i.e. kindness, patience, time, faith, hope, trust, and goodness. Are we celebrating what Christmas really means?

.
Elaine Cannon once observed: “People can be obedient like Mary, be defenders of Christ like Joseph, share the good news like angels, humbly seek the Lord like the shepherds, go to great lengths to bring gifts like the Wise Men. Also, filled with the glowing Spirit of God, they can guide others to Christ like the Star of Bethlehem!”

.
I believe we’re all seeking and trying and achieving to reach the righteous desires of our hearts, and that we’ll continue to. This Season take the time to light a candle for every man to see the world of promise and hope where the Holy One awaits their welcome, the path of purpose and, the awakening to their true identity. Be that shepherd or shepherdess that celebrates Christ’s birth, life and resurrection every day whether it’s December or July.
I pray your celebrations be filled with sufficient health, peace, faith, hope and the incomparable fruit of LOVE that is available to us in Him.
Have a Wonderful Season of Holiness!

.
Your faithful sister & friend ~

Psalm 103–Bless the Lord

Worship the Lord, O my soul
And all that is within me
Praise His holy name.
Exalt the Lord, O my soul,
Never forget all His provisions:

He forgives all your sins
He heals all your diseases
He saved you from obliteration
He surrounds you with gentle love and tender mercies
He indulges you with your every need
So your spirit can soar like the eagle.

The Lord ensures fair justice for the tormented.
He revealed Himself to Moses,
His capabilities to the Israelites.

The Lord is full of mercy and compassion,
Composed and abounding in leniency.

He will not always dispute with us in anger.
He has dealt kindly with us and not exacted due punishments.

His mercy for those who trust in Him is higher than the heavens.
He has wiped out our sins completely, as far as the east is from the west.

As our earthly fathers have compassion on us, so does the Lord have mercy.
He knows our makeup and remembers we are made of dust.

The days of mankind are as the grass and flowers of the field,
Flourishing well until the storms pass over and they are no more;
They will not even be remembered.

But God’s compassion is eternal towards those who worship Him
And it also carries forth to their children’s children
Because they keep their promise to Him always.

The Lord’s throne is in heaven and He rules His whole creation.

Angels, worship the Lord with your endowed strength;
Do His will and listen closely to His voice.

Heavenly hosts, worship the Lord, all you ministers that do His will.

All creation, worship the Lord wherever you stand.

Worship and praise the Lord, O my entire being!

“Everything is from the Lord and is therefore… a blessing!” Shalom.
